Officials from Russia,
Belarus and several companies are set to hold talks on Tuesday
in Bratislava to discuss what can be done to get Russian oil
flowing via the Druzhba pipeline again after the contamination
problems, Belarus state oil company said.
The president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday the cost of damages from contaminated oil received via the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline was 'enormous' and Belarus expects compensation from Russia, state-run Belta news agency said.
Months of work will be
needed to restore clean oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline
from Russia to Europe, a Belarusian state energy company said on
Tuesday, after Western oil consumers suspended imports of Urals
crude due to contamination.
